Staircase Recap and a WINNER!

When I decided to throw this little party, I wanted to have a party favor for you.  What is a party without a giveaway?  I perused around etsy and found Jamie from JK Vinyls.  Now girls, we have all seen vinyl done again and again throughout the blogosphere, right?  So what could possibly stand out about yet another vinyl company?  I’ll tell you.  Their prices that’s what.  Oh my goodness, can you say affordable?  JK Vinyls are some of the most reasonably priced decals I have seen.  Only have $10 in your pocket to spend?  No problem. I am confident that you can find several fantastic items in that price range.  Plus they have several Buy 2 get 1 free deals going on right now.  Check them out!  Here are some of my favorites:
I love the quote on quote look and think this would look very nice over our front door.

Anything with a family name on it grabs my attention.  And anything that includes the year of my birth gets kudos!  Go 1974 babies!!!
How cute would this vinyl be in your mudroom?

I have two little pirates that would adore something like this.

And when those pirates start dating, you better believe we will have some words along these lines above every exit imaginable!

And for all of you Twilight Mommies that just don’t know how to act your age and are staying up past midnight to go vampire premiere parties, you….silly, silly girls (okay YES I’m totally jealous that I can’t go, and I would join you in a heartbeat!) This vinyl is for you:

If the creative looks and reasonable prices don’t convince you that your vinyl should come from JK Vinyl, perhaps this amusing little story will.  When I emailed Jamie to request a decal for the giveaway she immediately responded with an enthusiastic yes.  She didn’t even check my blog or need to think about it; she was excited to help out.  Then, when she did decide to check my blog, my blog address was filled with typos and it erroneously took her to a religious fanatic website.  She became a bit nervous but didn’t waver.  Uh, yes, could I have the Doom’s Day Clock marking the end of the world in brown please?  Ladies, someone with this much grace deserves some sales!

So, in her quest to choose a winner Jamie looked through all of your staircases, and then she looked again because this was no easy task.  She adored the stairs with words, letters, and numbers.

Stairs Before and After

And then she said forget this and used Random.org to choose a winner!  Oh Jamie, I so felt your pain on this one.  There really were way too many fantastic projects to choose from.  Thank you to everyone who generously allowed us to stare at your stairs!
Random.org chose #18 as the winner.  Congratulations to Linda at Craftaholics Anonymous!  If you haven’t seen her fab staircase yet, then you must be living in a cave.  Her creative project is popping up as a feature on many a site and for good reason.  Just check it out.

Linda, contact me and I’ll put you in touch with Jamie so that you can choose the size and font of your numbers.
If you haven’t had a chance to see all the staircases yet, I encourage you to go over and have a stare.  I think you might just be inspired to transform your own!
