Okay, okay, so I know that it was actually the dish that ran away with the spoon, but in this post the spoon is having a torrid affair with the fork and the dish got ditched. Poor dish….. So today I ventured into our local Goodwill store to see what treasures might await. I am so very glad that many of you are too _______ (fill in the blank: snobby, scared, skeptical?) to shop at Goodwill. It leaves more sweet deals for me. And just LOOK at what I found today….
AND when I’m out of eggs I can even write on them a little reminder. I actually wanted to place these guys horizontally as a backsplash above my stove, but in order to do that I would need to figure out how to attach them to the wall. That might take awhile, so for now they hang here and make me smile. (And knowing that hideous furry cats lie beneath the black makes me smile all the more.)
Ha ha:) I was worried too. Im sitting here thinking "REALLY?! She loves those?!" Im so glad you didnt like the kitties. They look great. I wouldve passed by them in the store but you made a great transformation:)

Lol! at first, i thought you were serious……i was thinking, she doesn’t have any cats and those do NOT look like her style!
love what you did to them…i would have totally passed them by!
Interesting blog you have here
Way better than the Cats……… Never would have thought to do something like that to those spoons. I love the thift store, just haven’t been for a while, but I feel a visit coming on.
So, first of all I’m not a thrift store snob … I’ve just never had ANY luck there – and the smell makes me wanna throw up. But with all the really nice stuff I donate, there’s gotta be some nice stuff now and then! Secondly – I thought you were losing your “uber-coolness” at first when I read that you were excited by those hideous spoons! And to think, just this week I complimented your style again! At least you redeemed yourself when I finally got your sarcasm near the end of the post! And thirdly – I am YET AGAIN amazed at your superior creativity! Bravo!
