Happy December! Holiday cheer is in full swing and chances are good you will be invited to some holiday parties within the next few weeks. But what will you wear? (Let’s pretend it’s a really swanky event instead of a “wear your ugliest Christmas sweater” party!) I’ve put together a collection of eleven Polyvore holiday outfits to inspire some cuteness this season.

Pairing a red silk blouse with a black skirt and red or black heels is classic and traditional. I currently own several similar blouses that I’ve paired with black pants for previous holiday parties.
This dress is from Mod Cloth and has a lovely retro/vintage vibe.
The dress below is a Valentino so is a tad out of my price range, but I love the idea of wearing green for the holiday!
This outfit is adorable. I don’t think I could pull of the tights, but I love the dress paired with the gray cardigan and black heels.
This is probably the most practical outfit of the bunch, and I love everything about it. I want it.
I have more winter coats in my closet than I do sweaters, and the picture below is a fantastic example as to why! Oh my goodness I love that adorable coat! The sweater is very cute too.
Sequined miniskirts can be found everywhere right now! If you have great legs and are young enough to still pull one off, I say go for it. Pair it with a tank and cardigan to add some lady-like charm.
Dresses in metallic shades are perfect for this time of year. Here are three options of metallics that caught my eye:

I love this post Beth! Great ideas. I am getting ready for 2 holiday parties in the upcoming week… I just found a really cute teal ruffled skirt the other day that I love 🙂 http://www.downeastbasics.com/marketstreetskirt.aspx
I am pairing it with a silver lace tee and some vintage sparkly earrings. Thanks for sharing your amazing sense of style with us 🙂

Beth this is a great collection of outfits; they’re all so pretty too! I think my favorite is the green Valentino. It’s waaaaaay far from my price range too but I could think of enough other occasions (i.e. showers) to almost convince myself that it’s worth it. It’s just too pretty not to 🙂 Have a great weekend!

So pretty! I need you to come dress me. I own 1 pair of pants…jeans. I’ve got to go shopping, but I hate it. Nothing fits me right and I just feel so fat!
I love all of the outfits you picked out.
Luckily, I have no dressy parties coming up!

I love how you matched the outfits to the decor. So chic! If only I didn’t have all this baby weight to lose. Soon enough I will be investing in a new wardrobe, just not quite yet.

OMG what are you doing introducing me to another all time consumming site…polyvore! I didn’t know they had clothes on there! Rhoda sent me my design from that site but I didn’t realize they had clothes! I don’t need anymore timesuck websites 🙂 he he. I LOVE the sweater ($69 seems reasonable) and I LOVE the sweater dress but it’s from some other country and I can’t figure out the price 🙂 Just as well! Hope you are feeling better!

Wow, I am loving the brown tones for Christmas attire. So new. So me. I recently wore a new black sweater dress from White House Black Market to a party that was so comfy cozy. Now I need to find one in brown 🙂

I pretty much like them all, but oh that Valentino dress! Gorgeous!
Your blog post makes me want to go shopping (and I really don’t like to shop).

I like the winter whites collection best. Everything else reminds me of something my mom might wear, and therefore scares me.
