For Fashion (and beauty) Friday, I thought I’d share with you my new favorite no-heat-curly-hair-how-to! I have to say that getting up every morning to get my kids to school on time is killing my beauty routine. Showering at night is the only sure fire way to ensure that hygiene is taken care of, but my hair typically looks blech after sleeping on it all night. So what’s a vain, lazy girl like me to do *wink*?
Well, Pinterest has saved me once again with the introduction of the Sock Bun Curling Method! Basically you take a sock, snip off the toe, roll the sock into a donut shape, place your slightly-damp hair in a ponytail on the top of your head, and then roll your hair around the sock and sleep on it all night. When you wake in the morning, you take out your sock and ponytail and are left with gorgeous curls! It’s like magic. These pics were taken eight hours after taking the sock bun out this morning and the curls are still going strong.
Here is a front view. Granted, the side curls were more prominent this morning, but it’s still acceptable and soooo much better than my typical slicked back pony tail.
Do to so many great questions as to how I get the sock bun curls to work for me, I’ve created a step by step photo tutorial for you. Just click here to be taken to the sock bun tutorial.
