Here is another shelf/mantel headboard courtesy of bhg.com . Brilliant!
Again from bhg.com is a salvaged mantel headboard. I love this look, although admittedly chippy lead paint terrifies me.
For those of you in the market for an antique mantel, check out this site . The one below is my favorite and is currently priced at $295. I have no idea it that is reasonable or not, but I love the original dirty blue going on here.
Okay ladies! Show me what you’ve got going on this week. I am so inspired by the beauty you create and look forward to visiting each one of you.
To join the party please do the following:
1. Include the button or a link back to this post so others can join in the fun.
2. Include your name, blog name, and description of your post on Mr. Linky.
3. Link to your permalink on the Linky. (Just click on your mantel POST and copy the html line, then paste it into Mr. Linky. Please don’t just add a link to your entire blog.)
4. Visit other linkiers (yes I just made that up) and ooooo and aaaahhhh at their mantels.
Everyone loves comments (including me)! Linky will open at 10pm and stay open until Saturday night. This is an intimate leisurely party, so feel free to join in anytime.
**Edited to add: So sorry if your link was deleted! I feel like a big meanie and I truly enjoyed seeing several of your projects. But in order to keep this party focused, links need to be mantelesque in nature. Any flat furniture that has objects on it will count!**

I never thought to do a mantle above the headboard. What a great idea!

Hi Beth…
Ohhh my goodness…I LOVE YOUR BRICK WALL, my friend!!! Now that I've seen your photos, I'm surmising that the brick wall is seen in your dining room…and bedroom! It's fabulous!!! I would love to have a beautiful old brick wall to decorate around…sooo awesome!!! I love the changes that you made to your buffet and bedroom…soooo beautiful! Thank you for sharing them with us!!! My friend, I've been sickly lately and not really getting around blogland much but I'm planning on visiting all the mantel party participants now! I love, love, LOVE your mantel party! You know, I save nearly every photo to my computer for future reference for decorating my mantel! I have seen sooo many great ideas! Your party has been so inspirational to me! Opps…I just realized that I'm writing the response to your new post about wondering whether or not you should continue the party…here. I wished I was ambitious as you, my dear lady…and changed out the decor on my mantel and buffet more often! Eeeks…I tend to keep something around for awhile if it's something that I really like! But I will definitely participate whenever I do redecorate!
Anyway, I completely understand if you should choose to delete your Friday party. You know, I do my Sunday Favorites meme every week and understand the work and time that goes into hosting an event. There have been many weeks when I just have a hand full of participants but they are my regulars so I continue on…and of course, I really enjoy it! Hehe! One thing you might consider…is to do your Friday Mantel party once a month, etc.? I sure would hate to see you discontinue it completely…just my thoughts!!! I appreciate you, Beth…and will certainly respect your decision, my friend!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

I can't wait to see what you do with your circle mirror! I don't know if you have been over to the blog young house love, but they just recommended the round mirror on a mood board they did. They used it in a bedroom, and I agree it would look nice in there too. So where ever you decide to give yours a home, I am sure it would look fab!

All of the mantels are great!!! Some I clicked on they had crafts, jewlery, and random things. I am not sure if they linked right? But cute things ladies!
Have a great weekend!!

Neat bedroom mantels. I have a cool old mantel over my bed–it's an old floor board from a tobacco barn. Need to share a pic one of these days…

Love the mantel inspiration. I have an idea up my sleeve for an update on my mantel, but it requires my hubby going out in the garage to dig out something that I need…admittedly, a chippy-lead-paint laden old window…but I think once I vacuum off the dust and clean it up a bit it will be the perfect backdrop for my mantel re-do. Of course I will share it here first at your mantel party when I get it all up!
Blessings, Grace

Beth,
I haven't changed my mantel since last week so I won't be linking up this week (I also have a LOT of clutter on other horizontal surfaces that could be decorated lol) but I love looking at all the inspiration! See you on Twitter 😉 and I'll be posting my menu plan/budget soon so you can see that YES we do eat lol!!

Alas….I have not worked on my my fireplace/mantel in a few weeks, but I'm determined to get the beast painted and gussied up before spring hits!

Yeah I have a few of those mantel/headboard pictures in my inspiration file too. I love that idea, and I am still contemplating if it would work in our house.

I wish I had a mantle again. I came to get your button and I will add in my post of the minimal decorating I did to my piano.
I am so glad you enjoyed the Thursday Tute–lots of fun ones planned.

Beth,
This is my first time to your lovely blog. I am relatively new to blogging but will be returning! I found you because I red your comment on Cindy's blog and felt horrible that anyone would be so nasty and mean spirited. Clearly, whoever it is leaving these remarks is jealous because you are cute as a button and your blog is a delight.

Sounds like a decent price. There is one at the antique shop down the street from me selling for 350.00, of course it was salvaged from a house in Valley Forge that George Washington may or may not have been in. I am assuming that is addng to the value. It is also painted blue and calls my name every time I go in there.
My mantle is still the same, wish i had something to share, but I do love looking at everyones to get inspiraton, so much fun! Thanks for hosting.
