You may have noticed that I have been a bit MIA as of late. I told you all last week that I was going to start the new year off with a wedding. I’m not sure most of you realized that I literally meant the New Year! For the past four days I have been designing, glue gunning, taping, printing, papering, photocopying, lighting, fabricing (yes I made that word up), and ribboning like a mad woman. The challenge was to create beauty out of well…something so not beautiful. It was an exhilarating challenge and I can’t wait to share all the little details with you. This wedding was an almost 100% DIY wedding. The budget for absolutely everything was less than 10K and the confirmed guest list was 200. I told you this was a challenge!
I am still recovering from the work of it all so I’ll just share some before and afters with you here and later this week I’ll dive into all the delicious details. Okay, here we go…
The entry doors Before.
After
Second set of gym doors After.
Gym/Multipurpose Room Before
After
Dance Stage Before
After
Side of room Before
After
Classy Basketball-Hoop-That-Every-Bride-Covets Before
And…After
Be sure to come back for a visit and I’ll break down for you how we pulled this off with little money and inexpensive resources!

I love the fact that the walls were green!
Hi Beth,
The wedding couple must have been very happy! You did an amazing job of transforming that place into a really nice venue for the occasion. I love what you did with the basketball hoop, and the chandy over the dance floor! Very clever!
I'd love you to stop by for a visit sometime!

Wowsers Beth! Looks fab…absolutely love how you wedding-fied the b-ball hoop! 🙂
My daughter's wedding was in June, and had 220+ guests and spent under 7K for everything (ncluding dress, catering, decor, flowers, etc.)….believe me, I know that challenge. Being crafty helps, eh? I have some pics on my blog…look under the 'wedding' label if you're interested.
You did wonderfully! Please feel free to hook up with Make it for Monday and show off your hard work 🙂
Oh my word!! Excellent.
A sit-down dinner for 200? Zoweeeeeee. Love the basketball goal transformation the most – brilliant.
