I love to wear pendants and most of my jewelry is already ridiculously inexpensive; however, I found a way to make it even more ridiculous! I was walking through Walmart last week and saw this cute pendant for around a dollar. I never really like the chains that come with my jewelry and typically end up slipping it onto one of my silver ones. It then occurred to me that I should just start buying pendants and stop wasting money on real necklaces.

And of course all good ideas are typically not original… After a small internet search I found that Inspired Kara found this pendant at Michaels for $2 and suggests using a 40% off coupon to purchase this beauty!
Or how about “pimping your pumps” with this idea from No Carnations on etsy?

Haha, I think I bought the EXACT same pendant…2 in a citron green and 2 in a light turquoise blue. Haven't had time to create necklaces yet…but I will! Definitely can't beat the prices at Wally World! :o)

Hi Beth,
I'm a pendant fan too–don't have pierced ears and find that rings and bracelets often get in the way when I'm working on projects, so necklaces are my primary jewelry. Another affordable pendant idea (that I've thought of but never tried): buy a cute pair of larger earrings; wear one as a pendant and give the other to a friend. 😉

Hi Beth, I am a lover of pendants, and earrings, and rings, and anything sparkly 🙂 I'm always mixing and matching pendants on different chains. A nice idea is to use a strip of leather or a ribbon too. And WOW on those Etsy pumps!!
