Hi! My name is Traci and I blog at Beneath My Heart!
I am so excited to be hanging out over here at Stories of A to Z!
Beth and I have been blog friends for over a year, and we finally got to meet each other in person at the Relevant Conference in October.
Here we are…
I absolutely love Beth’s blog, and I wanted to share her creative goodness with my readers. Soooo…
Beth and I are “blog swapping” today. When you are done reading my post, I would like to invite you to click on over and visit Beth at Beneath My Heart!
We decided to do a “blog swap” to introduce ourselves to each of our readers. Beth and I have a lot of similar interests and tastes in decorating.
So Beth has asked me to share with you three of my favorite DIY projects I completed this past year…one crafty project, one furniture makeover, and one room makeover.
I’ll start with my favorite craft project…
You don’t have to be on my blog for long to know that I LOVE BURLAP!
I even have a category on my ARCHIVES page about all my burlap projects!
But my favorite burlap project to date is my brown burlap bedskirt!
Who knew burlap could look so beautiful?
And no…it doesn’t smell a bit!
The best thing about this bed skirt is that I velcro-ed (is that a word?) it to my box springs!
So it stays perfectly in place!
No more droopy bed skirt here!
You can read about how I made it HERE.
Next, I want to share with you my favorite furniture makeover.
It was a cherry armoire that I found at a Habitat store and purchased for only $40.00!
But that didn’t bother me one bit.
My hubby added a beadboard back to the armoire and some new shelves for some baskets and our t.v.
Then with a fresh coat of black paint…
It’s exactly what I what I was wanting!!! And now I can close the doors and hide our t.v. 🙂
To see the complete tutorial of how we did it, click HERE.
Both of these projects were completed during my Master Bedroom Renovation.
This was one of the most fun makeovers I have done in my house because I did it on a $700.00 budget.
Our bedroom was in serious need of a makeover!
Here is the before…
And here is the after…
There were many other makeovers and projects involved in completing this room re-do. To see the all the steps in this process and how I stayed within my budget, click HERE.
Well, that’s all ya’ll!
I hope you enjoyed seeing a little bit of me and my passion to create beauty on a budget in my home.
Thank you, Beth, for letting me hang out at your awesome place. And thanks for inspiring me!

Good to see you and Traci swapping, Beth! I loved reading your article over at her place. I'd already read all the posts you included, but it's nice to see a reprise of them, for they're all great. And the photo of the two of you is just darling. 🙂
