From the many emails and comments I have received, you didn’t know about this gem of a site called Scrapblog until recently. In the past on my blog, I introduced you to Scrapblog.com before here , and I am now thrilled to have Scrapblog as one of my sponsors! If you haven’t done your Christmas cards yet, I highly recommend you check out Scrapblog. If you’re doing virtual cards this year—you NEED to check out Scrapblog. If you’re in desperate need of some last minute Christmas gift ideas, again Scrapblog. I fall into all of these categories so in my next few posts I’ll be showing you how you can use this site to your benefit. (Note: Scrapblog pays me to host their ad on my site and that’s it. I am a devoted fan of the site, so all other “advertising” I do for them is out of pure love. Just thought you should know!)
This weekend I have some Christmas parties to attend and need some hostess gifts for the occasion. I didn’t feel like running to the store, so I rummaged around the craft closet to see what I could come up with.
Supplies on hand:
- Plain white tea towels
- Ribbon
- Iron-on transfers
- Stitch Witchery
I cut a tea towel in half (it was ginormous to begin with) and sewed the edge with my sewing machine. Then I used Stitch Witchery to attach some gingham ribbon to the bottom edge of the towel.
Next, I went to Scrapblog.com and created a blank page. I then clicked on the “sticker” tab and did a search for “Christmas”. I purchased the stickers I liked and saved and published my scrapblog. I then clicked on the tab under “file” that said “Export as Jpeg” and downloaded the image to my computer. I saved the image to my computer, opened it in Word Perfect and sized it to my liking. I printed the image out onto my iron-on transfer following the package instructions. I ironed on my images and….
….now have two adorable tea towels to give as hostess gifts.
Hmmmm. These look rather cute here on my dishwasher. They look happy…like they might just want to stay here..with me.
No. I must give you away cute tea towels. The basket looks horribly bare already, and if you’re not siting pretty in it then my hostess is just getting…candy canes.
Candy canes and jam? Obviously I need to add a few more items to the basket, but you get the general idea. Next up… I will be making a hostess apron. And that one will be just for ME!
Check out Scrapblog.com . It’s a fun site to explore and the graphics are gorgeous.

Oops. That comment IS from me, Beth. I'm just signed in under my sister's account because I've been helping her with her blog design. 🙂
Hi Traci,
Publish your project and just click "not now" or whatever when it asks you if you want to share your project. Then go down to the slide of your picture and click on the starish looking thing in the right corner of the slide. It will give you the option to "Export as Jpeg". Go ahead and highlight and click that and you should be able to download it. Let me know if you're still having trouble.
Blessings,
Beth
I loved this idea and yor blog. So I visited Scrapblog and signed up. Unfortunately, I could not export my item as a JPEG and it kept sending me to a place to print out quality pictures for a fee. Any suggestions regarding this? I asked for assistance at Scrapblog but have not heard back from them.
Keep up the great ideas.
Love scrapblog! Love your towels. Too cute!!!
Hi Beth, I linked to your post 🙂 in my iron on transfer-aholic post, lol
Ahhh, I LOVE LOVE those towels!! And I want the Merry Christmas one, haha. 😉 This was an exciting post to read.
The very best gifts are the ones you give yourself. Your tea towels looked very happy right there in your house, and they would be even happier if they had a nice friendly apron to keep them company.
🙂
Wonderful! If I start doing this project, I might never stop!
Very cute towels! Love the designs you chose!
Darling!! I don't think I could ever bring myself to use them!
Thanks for linking up!

Those are darling – what a fun gift!
Oh my God! You never cease to amaze me, Beth! I want that Christmas tree towel! I have got to get iron on transfer paper next time I am at the craft store. I know you also did those great pillows using the same method and I am going to want some of those too for when my new slipcover is on.
I know that you have been a big fan of Scrapblog.com for awhile and I'm glad to see they are one of your sponsors now.
Those tea towels are so cute. I love tea towels. You are just so creative.
Those tea towels are soooo cute. I can't wait to check out scrapblog.com.
Adorable Beth! I'm so enjoying all the cute ideas! Now to get time and energy to try some for myself:)
These are really cute towels. I love scrapblog.com though I haven't been over there in a while. It seems to take a long time to load things.
Anyways, I have no willpower with baked goods either. I always have to give them away, TO ANYONE WHO WILL TAKE THEM!! Sometimes I bake just to give them away.
Love these, Beth! So cute and easy–did you make the jam, too??
