I seriously feel like we are just NOW returning to life as normal after the incident with the bugs that shall not be named. I just…JUST got our bedroom back into order. If you remember, we had to buy a new mattress and I bought this ridiculous behemoth pictured below.
It took a bit of trial and error to find a solution but my original plan (why don’t husbands just initially listen to their wives?) worked. We simply removed the bed slates, and placed a metal bed frame underneath. It now is the perfect height. I’ll eventually need to make a bedskirt, but for now it’ll work! My ugly foot seems to agree. Sorry about that. It seems to make it’s way into many-a-pic.
I am LOVING my new Anthro duvet. It was a major splurge for me but adds the touch of romance I was craving.

What? You want a closer look? Oh, well okay then! For summer I just have the duvet on the bed without a comforter inside. It looks even better all fluffy and dreamy but in 100 degree weather I’ll do without the fluff!
And because I know how much you all love to stare at my brick, I couldn’t leave you without a pic :). I still haven’t gotten around to making over the dresser yet, but I did add some of my birdhouses to the top which helps distract you from the ugly oak.

It looks like a Sterns & Fosters…is it? I just got one 2 weeks ago but my oldest is sleeping in it since I need to move my queen one to his bedroom and I've been too lazy/overwhelmed. I am loving that Anthro Duvet! I want it. Darn. I must stop reading your blog so I stop craving stuff.
Oh, and you certainly DONT HAVE ugly feet. You should try OPI "Manicurist of Seville" I think it will look wonderful on you.

It looks lovely, Beth! That duvet is definitely dreamy. I've been keeping an eye out for a fabric similar to your drapery fabric. I'm ready to change up my window treatment a little bit and I'm leaning toward the browns.

I might have just drooled all over my keyboard. That is my DREAM duvet! I have been thinking of how I could make one — but I really think it's way beyond my skill level. Maybe for my birthday though – there's a thought!!

Your mattress looks super squishy!! I want a new pillowtop but ours is just fine right now! Its very comfortable, and I love it so we will do without the extra comfortable for now! Maybe in a year when we move…again….

I like fluff on the bed… I have our down comforter thing and another one and a sheets galore and when we get into bed i throw everything that we dont use in the floor! hahaha

Oh my god – you bought it! I'm so jealous!!! And so funny b/c this morning I was thinking about the duvet in gray and how I was just going to say what the heck and buy it this weekend.

I just got that bedding too! It was a birthday present, and I am SO SO in love with it. Yours looks gorgeous, and I'm paying close attention to how you styled the bed with accent pillows. So beautiful! Love the anthro cover. I have to tell you~I was sure I had bed bugs. I was itching all over, my husband was, turns out when we were clearing out some brush in our backyard, we got poison oak. I was so relieved as I remembered all you went through! 🙂

Gorgeous! And I LOVE your solution to the bed the size of Mt. Everest! Smart smart girlie! Mine isn't so high but I might do the same just because we have tiny kids who like to come in in the middle of the night and this will make it less dangerous for them to climb up!
