You can’t walk into any store right now without realizing that Back to School shopping is in full swing! I headed to TJ Max this weekend to pick up some necessary items for my kindergartner, and of course somehow ended up also picking out some items for myself :).
I heart TJ Max, Marshall’s, and Homegoods as much as the next blogger, so I knew you’d appreciate it if I took you along with me shopping. Just look at these cute sheets waiting to adorn some cute kiddos’ rooms. On the second shelf, you can spy some adorable dino sheets. I was so close to buying them, but my boys already have two sets of dinosaur sheets and how many dinosaurs can one household hold? I think we are waaaaaay beyond capacity already. But…they are cute.
Do you see all of those gorgeous fluffy white towels on the right? My towels are 11 years old and “fluffy” would not be the word I would use to describe them. These are tempting.
And all of these cuties made me wish I had a college kid to decorate for! Uh…minus the college tuition that is. Why in the world didn’t they have all of these cute things when I was in school? My dorm room looked like Laura Ashley threw up all over the place! Okay, so it was adorable and totally rocked back then, but still…
TJ’s always has the cutest baskets and I loved these with chalkboard labels in bright, cheery colors.
I took this picture just for you. This chair was $149, which is a bit spendy, but I knew you would appreciate the perfect shade of blue!
Okay, why was I here again? Oh yes, back to SCHOOL shopping. Ahem. Let’s head on over to the clothes. I found some great deals on Polo Jeans for $12.99 and some long sleeved shirts each for $6.99
Here is my little kindergartner now all ready for the school year! Doesn’t he look cute? All of the clothes pictured were purchased at T.J.’s.
This is Asher’s study nook that I’m working on.
Asher picked out the ABC chart as the decoration he wanted for his wall. It was $24 at TJ’s.
Ah yes, life is good indeed! Thank you T.J. Max for letting me highlight your goods and for providing some affordable items for those of us who love a bargain!

I would LOVE to have one of those ABC charts! Are there any other stores besides TJ Max that would carry that particular one? We are military and are unfortunately stationed nowhere near enough to a TJ Max. I have searched all over for one and can't find any. I wonder if I can find any family members close to a TJ Max to ship me one! Not sure if anybody lives very close though…

Beth, I have a thing for rain boots and so do NOT need another pair so I stayed away from looking at the price. They are adorable though!

I love shopping at those stores too!!
Your son is adorable and so willing to pose for the pics, at least it looked like he was willing. 😉
Would you happen to remember how much those rain boots were? I really want the ones on the lower right, soooo cute!
Thanks for the tour!

So adorable! My son is also starting kindegarten this year. I'm nervous and excited all at once! Buying school clothes can bring me to tears but I'm being strong b/c after all this is the natural course of life.
Still, I long for a little more time before he goes into the big world!

Isn't TJMaxx the best? I have a Ross store 5 minutes from my house, a TJMaxx 7 minutes from my house, a Marshall's 9 minutes from my house, and a HomeGoods 10 minutes from my house. I shop at all of them, but TJMaxx ends up being the place where I find the best stuff.
So your big guy is off to school, is he? What an adorable boy he is! I homeschooled my oldest son K-2nd grade, so I put off that moment of sending my firstborn to school. That was back in the days when I was competing for Best Mother in History. Thank God I was disqualified by the time my third one was born!

I need to head up to Homegoods, Marshall's or TJMaxx for a bathroom rug. I can't find the right color!
I always love their selection of sheets!
Cute study nook!

Those baskets w/ the chalk labels are cute. None here, but then all we have is Marshall's and Ross, no TJM…love shopping vicariously through you! Also, that ABC chart is just darling!!!

TJMaxx is awesome! I hate clothes shopping though. I get so frustrated! I love the picture of him i his study nook! So sweet! Is that pail for his teacher? You are so clever!

LOL…we all digress to the things we like!
Just love the way Asher posed for you! Especially the one on the front stairs with the knapsack and apple. Too cute! I guess it's a new beginning for you too, with one son in kindergarten now. 🙂

Isn't TJ Maxx the best?
OK. I have a question for you. I just bought some clothes at goodwill. New one just opened in the nice side of town. WAY WONDERFUL. However, I'm paranoid about bedbugs now, so I've sealed up some of the items (wool coats/blazers i.e. things I can't wash) in a giant ziplock. Any tips? How long should I keep the bag closed to suffocate any potential intruders?
p.s. i hope all those mean hearted commenters are long gone. meanies are no fun!
