My hallway is long, but broken up by many doorways…and some of those hallways look like they are as long as my house!! But, my hallway is a credit to my love of taking photographs – all hung in gallery style.
And a note on gallery style here – I used to sell oil paintings and had the best advice to my clients. Always choose your art because you LOVE it, it speaks to you – NOT because it matches the drapes in your living room. Art is personal and should be treated as such. Your gallery walls can be hung in an abstract arrangement of all the things that you love – or in collections if you collect by artist or subject matter.
They are all great! I did a little make over on my tiny hallway but I'm not really loving it.
Ugh…I HATE my hallways. I call them the catacombs. I'm trying to decide what the heck to do with them.
And hey, if wallpaper is truly back, then mall bangs are right there behind it. Bring on the aquanet.
I love the bookshelves in these! I have absolutely NO room for them, but maybe someday… if my home sells!
I have a really long hallway that connects the rest of my house to a great room we had put on many years ago, Beth. Very much like a gallery this hallway and I made it our family gallery with pictures and kids school awards; it was the perfect place to put these things. Then we got the house ready for sale last year and it all came down. Right now we are still here and that hallway is empty. I miss my family picture gallery.
Dreadfully boring here! I love those pics! Especially the white one with all the built ins!! Squeel! I think I will stick with the last two though… I have some pictures I need to hang up!
love the wall of pictures… thanks for sharing 🙂
Beautiful ideas and inspiration! My upstairs hallway is super boring…haven't got that far yet. 😉 I can't wait to see what you come up with!!
It's funny, I was just working on my own hallway a couple of days ago. It is just wide enough, that I could set mine up like my own personal library.. I LOVE IT, and was just perfecting (expanding) it a bit!! Dear Daughter came over not long after and immediately relayed how much she liked it too! Wish I could take pics, but my camera is horrible, and would never cooperate with the lighting such as it is.. Oh well, you'll just have to take my word, I guess!.. Have a great weekend! ~tina
I love, love the first hallway and the one with the black book shelves gorgeous! Thanks for sharing my wheels are already turning!
Thanks for the hallway eye candy! I love picture walls down hallways, but I also love the picture you shared of the bookcases (with ladder) down one. Fun. Thanks for sharing such inspiration pics. Take care, Becca
These are all such great ideas ~ and beautiful pictures!
Thanks for sharing 🙂
Some of these hallways are bigger than my entire house! Our hallway is very boring. But there's only one small wall to work with. These pictures did inspire me that I can do something with it, though!!
Unfortunately, my yet-to-be-restored 100 year old bedroom hallway is too narrow to even hang pictures! Oy! I definitely have a thing for bookshelves, window seats, & stripey rugs…so THAT hallway to me is dreaaamy!
Happy decorating!

I love your images…looks like pictures or books are the way to go. I have one short and one long hallway. I have botanical prints in the long one and a wreath and mirror in the short one. It's funny, but I notice the things on the walls all the time. It looks good.

thanks for the inspiration pics Beth…My hallways are junk collectors…one is teensy in length but is our "coat closet" of sorts and the other is HUGE and therefore it collects "stuff"
