Pictured below are the treasures I acquired today from Goodwill. Perhaps it looks like a typical bunch of Goodwilly junk to you. I wish I had the time to show you the transformation of each of these items, but I’m preparing for a family vacation so I don’t have the time. Later perhaps. However, I will impress you with one transformation. See that hideous leaf basket below? It was $1 which really was more than I wanted to spend, but I needed a basket for a care package I was making and I figured it might work.
And now just look at the transformation after Mr. Spray Paint had his way with Ms. Ugly Leafy Basket! I also placed one of my leftover chalkboard signs on here for a super cute touch.
This is a very special gift basket of hope. It’s on it’s way to a college friend whose husband unexpectedly passed away last Friday. I thought it was fitting to transform something ugly into something beautiful for her. Her situation is horrible, but the Lord, our Hope, has a way of transforming the grimmest of circumstances into something redeemed. Please pray for her and her two little ones!

wow. What a beautiful basket of HOPE to share with your friend who is so divested of all hope right now. It is a precious gift that will speak hope and comfort to her for many months to come.

That basket did turn out so cute. You just have the vision, girl.
That is horrible news about your friend. How devastating. She will be in my prayers.
You are truly a good and thoughtful friend. And I should know. Love you! Have a wonderful vacation with your family!
