I have a simple decorating idea for you that is inexpensive, easy, and meaningful! This would also make a cute homemade Mother’s Day gift. Today, I’ll show you how to create a mini gallery photo wall using a cork board, office tags, photos, photo adhesive, twine, and corsage pins!
I actually made these photo tags last December for our Christmas tree. I just resized all the photos in Word to fit the tags, printed them out on my inkjet printer, cut them to size, and glued them on with photo adhesive.

Several years ago, I bought an old frame from the thrift store and made a cork board out of it. It typically displays some fun silver utensils that were passed down to us from Matt’s family. I love this look but it was time for a change.
I changed out the original string on the tags for some textured twine and pinned them to the board using some corsage pins I had on hand.
I added some glitter paint droplets to a few of the photos just for fun. It’s not obvious until the light catches it just right and adds some whimsy.
This is such an easy project to do and costs virtually nothing! I love passing by my mini-gallery wall and being reminded of the biggest blessings in my life…my family :).

Beth–I LOVE this! So cute and meaningful!

I love it!
Hi Beth,
I love this project. So many times I want to display lots of photos because I can’t just choose one and this is the perfect way to do it. I even have a bulletin board 🙂
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
adore adore adore! i can’t wait to try this!
Very clever and cute. I love your lamp shade also! I actually went to Lowes a couple days ago to buy roping just like that for a project and almost fell over at the cost 🙁
Thanks Jess. I found that rope a few years ago at Big Lots. Check there (if you have one). It was $3 for a fairly large ball of it.
$3!!! That is great Home Depot was almost $1 a foot. We have those places, I’ll check them. Thank you!
You are a genius! Thanks for the great idea. I love both the pictures and the silver display.
Thank you!
What a great conversation piece to share with visitors too. I loved those tags on your tree, and I love this idea too! Such a great way to display a lot of memories in a small area of a wall. ~Kerri, A Pop of Pretty
I love the tag pics on the tree. Such a good idea.
Cute idea. I also really like the silver display. How did you hang the silverware pieces?
Thanks :). I just used the same corsage pins and pinned them cris-crossed to hold them in place.
What a cute idea! Really great way to organize B&W photos;)
I just love this idea! where in the world do you get corsage pins- florist?
I think you can get them at any craft store. I’ve had mine forever, so I honestly don’t remember where I bought them from. Upholstery tacks would look cute as well.
Wow – I love this Beth!! It’s such a cute way to display a bunch of photos – and so easy to change out too!
Pinning! 😉
I love this!!
