Last week, I told you about my fondness for the color combo of navy and orange and how it is currently trending in design. What I didn’t anticipate was how many sports fans this post would attract! Jennifer from Hootenanny is a huge Auburn fan and suggested I check out her friend Tiffany’s blog. Tiffany blogs at La *T* Da and recently remodeled a rental house to rent out during Auburn’s football season. It is called the Orange and Blue on Drake and is decked out in shades of orange, coral, turquoise, aqua and navy. Tiffany has generously given me permission to share her rental house tour with all of you! Below is a picture of the exterior.
Upon entering, you are greeted by a beautiful arched doorway and orange Moroccan stencil. Tiffany used gold thumbtacks on the wall to add some bling!
The living room is FILLED with nothing but transformed thrift store treasures. Tiffany was on a tight budget to furnish the Orange and Blue and so her motto for the entire project was “yard sale, thrift store, or free”. You will have to click over to read exactly how she pulled it all off! It is incredibly inspirational to see her creativity in action and to learn how she DIY’ed the entire interior. I love how this home shows what you can accomplish with hard work, a simple color palette, and tons of creativity!
Tiffany did a brilliant job of mixing fabrics in the living room. I also love the smart storage and additional seating that the blue “cubes” under the desk offer. The girl has skills!
Here is the other side of the living room. I am in love with this $15 Salvation Army TV console! What a steal and what a difference some aqua paint makes.
The lighting in the orange dining room is fresh and fun. Tiffany added whimsical touches of aqua throughout the room.
The dining room connects to the cute kitchen. Notice the adorable DIY cork boards on the side of the cabinets.
Tiffany used Pinterest as a resource for finding free printables to decorate all the walls. Such an easy and inexpensive way to create some fun gallery walls on-the-cheap!
Here is the striped hallway complete with framed thermostat!
The half bath is done in blue with white beadboard and orange accents.
And now let’s take a peek at the three bedrooms!
The kids’ room looks festive with those fun pennant banners and shaggy orange throw pillows.
This is my favorite room in navy, white, and silver with just a few pops of orange.
And here is the sophisticated master bedroom in browns, blues, and burnt oranges.
Isn’t it fantastic?! Thank you so much Tiffany for allowing me to show off all of your hard work! Be sure to click over to La *T* Da for more pictures and the full scoop on how each room came together. If you are interested in renting the Orange and Blue on Drake, located near Auburn, you’ll need to click over and email Tiffany for more information!
