I’m currently in Virginia at my parents’ gorgeous home nestled directly on the Chesapeake Bay. No, I’m not joking. This is actually their home! Isn’t it something straight off of a postcard? I would love to redecorate the interior. After 15 years, it’s in need of some updating but it is still fantastic! You can see why even as an adult I refer to this house as “going home”. Who wouldn’t want to come home to this?
And just check out those patriotic buntings below…so cute. Not to mention all those cute boys above the buntings!
Poor Uncle Sam. He always looks like he’s had one too many, but he truly is the life of the party each year!
Try to sit up and smile Uncle Sammy!
This is the table where so many family memories have been created.
And here is just one example of the beauty we get to observe as we dine….
Speaking of dining, this chocolate chip flag cake that my mom served was delish!
Bye for now, I need to get back to the fun!

Wow, I was just reading more of your blog, and your post on love and marriage was inspiring. It's just so biblical and right – marriage is to make us holy, and we so often need to be reminded of it. Thank you!

That house is incredible. It looks like something out of a movie. Hope you loved your fourth of July! I found you through Kimba's DIY page and wanted to invite you to a giveaway I am having, I would love for you to come and see if you might like to enter.

Wow, what a beautiful home. I just got back from a family vacation, gem mining and white water rafting in the Appalachian mountains in NC. We had a blast. Looks like you're having a ball too 🙂 Have a great time!!

🙂 Your's was much more tasteful than what I saw at the lake. I have a bikini, too, but what these ladies were wearing was just icky. There's a difference. I hope that makes sense.
