Valentine’s Tree Mantel

I am posting for my Mantel Party a few days early in hopes of spreading the word and having more join us this Thursday night-Saturday.  Check out the button on my sidebar if you are interested.

This mantel was so much fun and super easy to create!  I started by placing the sticks I used in my 3 little birds mantel into a more fitting vase.  Then, using the tags I purchased from Target’s dollar spot, I simply strung them to the tree with some clearance heart ribbon I had in the craft closet.

The little frames were also purchased, ages ago, from Target’s dollar spot.  I used some square tags inside the frames and printed the “I love you” on my computer.
Isn’t the LOVE sign cute?

Here is a closer look at some of the tags.  I used vellum stickers on the blank tags and pictures of my sweethearts in the circle tags.  Do you see the yummyness in the bottom of the hurricanes?  Do you think  my two little boys will be able to resist climbing up there and trying to eat those M&M’s?  Hmmmm.  Neither do I.  The M&M’s might need to go after today.

Here is a better look at my sweethearts.

I found this free printable Tricia Rennae banner via Design Dazzle .  I printed the banner out and adhered it to some polka-dot scrapbook paper.  I then punched holes in the corners with a hole punch and secured the triangles with bits of heart ribbon.

I love the way it turned out.

I heart you too, cute Valentine’s mantel!

And here is what my mantel looks like all moody and glowy and lovely.

One more thing, for those of you who saw my candy dispenser transformation yesterday…
…I’ll have you know that it is now happily holding M&M’s in place of those Smarties.  It looks so cute that I almost don’t want to eat them all.  I said almost.

  14. I hear you on the M+Ms, those things are lethal! Love your new mantle. You really have found your grove decorating it! We don't really 'do' Valentines here, but I might change my mind now that I see all that cuteness.

  15. So cute! I actually had something similar planned to do this week with my daughter. We had made a Thanksgiving tree with leaves on it. I decided we'd paint the branches white and then have her write things, people, etc. that she loves on hearts to hang on the tree!

  16. That is some serious cuteness! I love it and if I had a mantel I'd make one too! Good job! 😉

  17. Do you know, I forgot they did M&M's for the different holidays! They look great in the candle holders; great idea! Love this mantle, Beth. I've been thinking and planning out my mantle in my head for this week. Tomorrow after work I'll be seeing how it comes together for real.

Yes, you recognized that heart ribbon, did you? : ) That lovely scarf you made and that I won in your giveaway was wrapped with it. Of course, I saved it!

  18. This is such an adorable creation! Valentine decor is so fun. The banner is my favorite. 🙂 But the "I love you" sign is super cute too!

  19. So cute and festive Beth! I love that Valentine's Tree and love that you put pictures inside the little hanging decorations. Adorable as usual!!!
