I am heading to NYC tomorrow at the lovely hour of 5am. Gah! In preparation to network, I wanted to be sure I had my business cards on me. Oh yes, I forgot. I don’t OWN any business cards! Never fear. I am a crafty and resourceful girl. Surely if I can design my blog, party invites, gift tags, cards, etc., I can design my own business cards!
I googled images of circle business cards because I was certain they must exist and that’s the shape I wanted. Low and behold, I came across these gorgeous cards from etsy seller socialcircle.com. If I didn’t need my cards tonight, I would have ordered some from her. They are exactly what I had in mind! Fueled with inspiration, I set out to make my cards!
Granted you almost need a magnifying glass to read the thing, but it’s the sacrifice I’ll pay for the cute factor. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a 2″ circle punch and only a 1.5″ so had to squnch (past tense of squish) the lettering. I used linen card stock resume’ paper (and to save myself some major computer time) simply glued my front and back pieces together. You cannot tell they are glued at all and it makes for a nice thick little card.
One side of my card dons my blog logo and the other, my name and pertinent info. I used an old mint tin (gifted to me by Kathy) to act as my cute card holder.
I couldn’t resist decorating the inside and outside of my tin! I used my blog banner and wrapped the tagline…
…around the entire tin.
So now if an opportunity arises to share my info I am prepared!
Tune back in on Wednesday for all the NYC details!

I LOVE these!! I will definitely use this idea! It’s so cute!
Thanks for sharing !!!
When I went through my cards everyone was Ooing and Aahing over your card. If you remember in the green room my Mom wanted to just pass these beauts off as her own, regardless of contact info. Very well done. And so nice meeting you and sitting next to you while we waited in the green room. 🙂
Love these! You're so creative, Beth. When I didn't have business cards at Blissdom, I just scribbled my name and blog address on hotel notepaper for people. I'm sure that impressed a lot of them. Ha.
What a great idea! I was just thinking this morning that I needed business cards.
Hope you are enjoying the Big Apple. La
My goodness what a great idea! I have never heard of a round business card. so cool!

Nice…and yep, always love the ones that don't follow the rectangle guidelines. I seem to be able to keep up with them better. 😀

I'm lovin' the round cards, they are definetely unique, and won't get lost in the 'crowd'.
I love the title, M.Y.O.B. is what I tell my kiddos when they get all up in other's people's affairs. Got their teachers in on it too!
Have a great trip, can't wait to hear all about it!
Hey Beth, YOU amaze me. Would love to see you in NY!! How long will you be here? I'm 40 minutes north of the city. Hope your family is well. Lauralee
Yikes! With an entire audience filled with self-promoters though I think I'll be alright :). In reality, I'm way too shy to actually give my card to someone unless they asked for one so I will definitely be alright! Oh yes, and I bought a bright teal top for the show! I thought you'd be proud of me and my rule-abiding self! 🙂
Hey great job on the cards! Be careful tho, a woman was asked to leave for networking. They ask you to be there in a personal capacity only. No blogging, reporting or writing. Thats why I removed my post about it. lol However I know your a rule breaker so Im sure you'll be okay. Cant wait to hear the details. lol
Love these! I have been eyeing the social circle cards for quite a while now!
I daydream of needing biz cards to pass around at a cool conference, so fun! These are fabulous! Great job! Jenn, from ThisMommyLoves.com (your newest follower)
