Those are some great pictures Beth. I don’t think wooden chandeliers are for everybody, but I love them and think they really have their place in some houses.
I mean, if you’re looking to create a cozy rustic kind of vibe, they are the perfect candidate.
I’m finishing up a small article on wooden chandeliers that I will be posting on my blog soon. Do you mind if I use a couple of these pictures for my article?
Good Morning Beth,
I am a woodworking hobbiest. I have learned a few things mostly from fixing up old homes and helped in building one new one. I now have a shop where I make wood cradled art panels. Yesterday I was thinking of something new and when watching tv thought of simple entertainment centers and for some reason saw several interesting chandeliers and thought…….why not make them out of wood. I found your site this morning and continue to be inspired to design and make a wood chandelier. Thanks and I will continue to follow your blog.

Excellent use of wine barrel wood see what I do at http://www.winewoodcreations.com

I love how these wood chandeliers bring a natural element to the decor. I wonder if they've been around awhile but are just coming into popularity? The wine barrel chandelier has been the focal point of one of my favorite stores (GDC home in Mount Pleasant, SC) for years. Lisa
Yes, I just love them! They're everywhere now which makes me think that they're more of a trend. Pretty soon we'll be "saturated" and the trend will change. Was thinking of switching mine out for one but afraid of it looking quickly dated.
Head over heals for the driftwood!!! Loving me some driftwood decor lately!!!
Ah, sweet Beth, you are so talented that I just bet it's no time before you've figured out a way to make your own. I, personally, look forward to seeing what you come up with! Have a great week!!
Oh I LOVE the first one, and the ones from Eclectic Revisited. Thanks for some fantastic links & inspiration! We're remodeling our kitchen and I canNOT wait to replace our old brass fixtures! 🙂 🙂 🙂 I totally agree, lighting has a huge impact 🙂
I like the ones you show in the pictures, Beth. I think this is something that might be around, but not seen too often. I had never seen this type of chandelier before your post. I think this might be something that is niche specific {if that makes sense}.
I haven't seen any of these around as of late, but I do like them. I can see one in my lakehouse easily. I think they go best in a relaxed room. Very neat, Beth!
XO,
Jane
So pretty! I really like them! I think they could work well in a number of decors. I think they add a rustic charm. Thanks for sharing.
Love, love , love the third one! I'm ultra traditional (and still love my brass chandeliers that I have in my foyer and formal dinig room!) so I have to love these in someone elses house!
Love them!!! I think I like the ones that are simpler rather than the chunkier ornate ones.
Nope, never seen them before. I'm really trying to like them but I'm not sure I can. I'm with Lolly Jane on the whole cabin decor thing. I just can't picture it in my house (where we have a lovely 1980's white ceiling fan with dust bunnies clinging to it).
aaahhh i'm sorry. i imagine cabin decor when i see these, yuck! but i'm glad other think outside the box on this one! (:
ps: ADORE your mason jar chandy!!
I honestly have never seen wood chandeliers before! I keep looking at them and trying to get myself to like them, but it's just not happening yet. It might be one of those things that I start liking AFTER the trend is over. 🙂
Great line-up Beth, We all need to have dreams and something to look forward too. I can see this in your future. I am with you on the lighting I am a nut for good lighting and ambient light in a home!! Some might say I have too many(by some I mean hubby) but I love the glow they give to my rooms. Enjoyed looking at your wish list, KS
Loving them! I don't care what is in or out, these are timeless…
Yes, yes, yes, LOVE THEM!!!! enduring trend, most likely not, but do so love them, who cares???? When they go out it can't be worse then the yucky old brass ones can it? Thanks for sharing all these pics for us to drool over, yummmm!
These are phenomenal!! Just gorgeous!
I love them! I especially drooled over those driftwood chandeliers! Wow! I don't know if it is an enduring trend, but I think it will stay around a while as everyone goes with the neutral softer palettes. They just look so beautiful against the soft walls!
