One of the joys of blogging is finding talent and passing it along to all of you! If you’re not familiar with Brittany from Pretty Handy Girl, then you are definitely missing out. Brittany is a true handy girl and she takes the time to explain in detailed tutorials how you can be a handy girl too!
Here is just a sampling of some of the things she has created. Click on the title or pic to be taken to the full post.
- How to Turn a Closet into a Reading Nook Isn’t this adorable? Read the post to find out exactly how she did it.
- How to Install Antique Heart Pine Wood Floors Oh my goodness, I adore these reclaimed farmhouse floors! Our last house had heart pine floors and I miss them. This lucky girl found her floors on Craigslist of all places and was brave enough to tackle this project.
- How to Build a Mudroom Coatrack and Bench Uh, yeah. She built all of this! Built it! Ah-mazing I tell you! And again, she takes the time to teach you how you can build one too.
If some of these advanced projects seem a bit intimidating (because let’s face it, this girl possesses some mad skills), never fear. Brittany also takes the time to teach you to do simple things like how to get rid of a popcorn ceiling, how to make felted roses, and even how to install a new toilet seat!
Go visit Brittany, tell her I sent you, and give her a follow! You won’t regret it! Thanks Brittany for allowing me to feature you and for inspiring me to bust out my compound miter saw. I hope one day when I grow up I can be more like you!

That little reading nook is just adorable! My son has two closets in his room and we might have to try the reading nook in one of them. Great idea! 🙂
Happy Monday!

That reading nook looks like the perfect place to curl up with a book. And those wood floors…talk about talent! Wow!

Wow! I'm impressed! After visiting her blog, I'm considering maybe taking a woodworking course. My hubby doesn't like doing renos, and I haven't got a clue what to do with wood (well, other than burn it in the fireplace), but our home really needs some updating!! Thanks for featuring her!

I am doing a playroom re-do and had planned on a reading nook and in my looking around I found Brittany on google. She has done exactly what I had in my design so it sure was nice to see it actually done the way I had planned on doing it. What amazed me is that SHE did it herself, now that is the Queen of DIY if you ask me!! Kathysue
