Spring Refresh with Lowe’s: Let Me & Lowe’s Come Over to Your House

Yesterday the temperature climbed to a balmy 75•, and I was as happy as a clam! Oh how I LOVE the spring! This past winter was the coldest I can ever remember in the 15 years I have lived here. Although we didn’t get more snow than usual, it was just too darn cold to even go outside and ski or sled. In a nutshell, this winter was miserable for many of us and was one of the harshest on record. Lowe’s recognizes this and they want to help a family from each of the “10 Bleakest Cities of 2015” spruce up for Spring!

Do you live in one of these cities? The following cities were named by the Accumulated Winter Season Severity Index (AWSSI) as the “10 Bleakest Cities of 2015.”

  1. Boston, MA
  2. Buffalo, NY
  3. Detroit, MI
  4. Louisville, KY
  5. Hartford, CT
  6. Nashville, TN
  7. Newark, NJ
  8. New York City, NY
  9. Portland, ME
  10. Providence, RI

With spring finally here, Lowe’s wants to inspire and help consumers in the “10 Bleakest Cities of 2015” discover creative solutions to spruce up and improve their homes and communities with a quick makeover. I will be partnering with 10 bloggers and Lowe’s volunteers to complete makeover projects that have been neglected or delayed because of extreme winter conditions. If your project is chosen, volunteers will come to your home and help you complete projects such as painting, landscaping, creating outdoor rooms and adding curb appeal.

Doesn’t that sound amazing? Even I could really use someone to help me create a pergola for my outdoor roof deck, repaint the back porch, replace rotten wood slates on my front porch, and help me re-mulch and plant for spring. 1. This is a super sweet and lovely idea for those in those areas. I have lived in areas that get really gloomy before, so I know how a few projects can help with the winter blues so much! Love this idea!!
