I thought you might like to see what I have going on my table this hippity-hoppity Easter season.
I used my burlap and scrap table runner and started the tablescape off with my mercury glass candlesticks. Then I stuck my PB bunnies (on clearance last year) on each end. It looked simple and sweet just as it was, but you know me, I can’t leave anything alone. I think Hubby was really hoping at this point I was done. Silly man. I’m never done!
I felt my candles looked a bit bare and nakey up there on their pedestals….exposed really. They needed some moss attire and I was happy to oblige. No one wants candles all expose’ on the table! I love to cover things in moss. It is such a beautiful thing. It’s messy to work with, but it’s cheap and it completely transforms the look of something with little to no effort. I also love little to no effort :).
Next, I added a boa around the entire ‘scape. This added the element of softness to the other, harsher textures. Hubby raised an eyebrow at the boa. He’s not a fan…unless of course I’m wearing one. And feathers make me sneeze, so the only boa-action he’ll be seeing is in the form of a wreath on the wall, and some feathers on the table. Sorry babe…the boa stays.
And it just wouldn’t be springy enough without some beautiful eggs and nests, now would it?
The little white flowers were left over from my dollar store egg project. I cut sprigs of them and placed them here and there for added prettiness.
I love it! And I also love that I was able to cram five decorating fads into one post!
What do you think? (If you hate the boa, don’t tell me. It will just make me mad today. So, the question I’m really asking isn’t “what do you think of my tablescape,” it’s more, “tell me affirming things about this project and keep all negative opinions to yourself.” If you’re blatantly honest with yourself, isn’t that what we’re mostly asking for in comments?) Love to you peeps…even to you boa-haters :).

Love the bunnies. Thought I could get some at the thrift store, but stumbled upon two ugly brown one for $2 each at walmart. Nothing a little glossy spray paint cant fix.
Just stunning. Love it so much!!!!!!!
Really darling, I love it!
And the exposed brick wall in this room, to die for!
Linda
I love it…for real! The thing I like about your decor is that you pull things together that I wouldn't even think about, and you always make it look amazing!

Oh, my gosh, I laughed out loud when you said "Tell me affirming things about this project and keep all negative opinions to yourself." Ha. I definitely have days like that when I'm not up for the Negative Nellies and just need to hear some positive things.
I don't think you have to worry about that here, though. Looks fabulous to me! I'm hanging my head in shame because I haven't even started to bring out the Easter decor. Somehow Easter snuck up on me this year. I need to get a few bunnies out before it's too late! 🙂
Shoot, you beat me to it. I have boa's in all kinds of crazy colors. We use them al lot for our costumes at Carnaval. I have one all white and never used waiting for the inspiration to be used in a craft project. And here you are with your gorgeous table scape totally rocking it with your boa. It looks great, honestly!
Breathtaking! Gorgeous!
I love your tablescape! I never thought of using a feather boa for decor like that. It's beautiful! 🙂
I adore the whimsical boa with the white bunnies! Your table looks fantastic. Miki

Beth it is adorable!!! the boa has feathers which represent the baby chicks and birds and such in spring! 🙂
Wow! It's very striking – I really like it!! And yes, you really did hit on most of the Hot decorating items right now, LOL and that's a very good thing! I'm amazed how the tiniest little things (sprigs of little flowers) can add so much appeal to the arrangement…

Kelly
but how do you keep the little'uns hands off!!
Nice work, very springlike, but seriously I get so distracted when I'm checking out your post. I've been coveting that brick wall for some time now! I guess the first step is admitting you have a problem right?
LOL, All kidding aside you really have made a beautiful home for yourself and your family!
Very very cute!!!! I love your brick wall in your dining room!!! It ads soooooo much interest!!!! Great Job!!!! Its the little extras that make ALL the difference!
Beth your table looks so amazing. I am really inspired to decorate for Easter now. I must do that this weekend!. xx
Ohhh! So pretty and springy! Love the mercury glass candleholders…where did you find them?!
I'm not gonna hate on your boa! I like it…now, that would be different if you'd gone with a pink or red boa. I'd be shaking my head. 😉
The glass with the greenery is really a nice touch. It combines rustic and elegant. Of course, we all love your brick wall, but you are probably tired of hearing that!
I love everything about it. Gorgeous.
Okay, well, using those parameters ~ I LOVE IT! Those candleholders and the way you dressed them up with moss and little white flowers really caught my eye ~ love them. Of course, I love the bunnies, because I just love bunnies. I think you put together a great tablescape here and I like the lightness to it with the white.
