I try to keep the focus of this blog on home decorating, but sometimes I just want to share my life with you. I hope you’ll bear with me as I share some pics from my weekend!
This weekend, my mom and little sister came for a visit and we had such a great time together! We crammed a lot fall goodness into a short period of time. Saturday morning we enjoyed pumpkin scones and cheesy scrambled eggs and then traveled to a local orchard for some apple picking.
Here is my beautiful mom with four of her eight grandbabies!
There was a lot of joy over picking the perfect apple….
…and even more glee over tasting a few!
In the afternoon, Matt watched the kids while I took my mom and sister to my favorite teahouse. We enjoyed scones with clotted cream and lemon curd.
We all picked out a vintage hat to wear during the tea which is part of the fun!
The butternut squash bisque was quite delish…
…and our salads were delightful.
I was having fun playing with my new camera all weekend. Isn’t my little sister beautiful?
In the evening, we took a walk by the river and enjoyed the sunset.
Asher adores his cousin and was ecstatic to have his BFF visiting for the weekend!
The two of them are sweet little peas-in-a-pod.
And we’re not quite two peas in a pod but we sure do love each other!
To end the day, I stole our pumpkins off of the front porch and let the kids have at them!
It was the perfect fall weekend. I am so blessed to have such a precious family. Thanks for bearing with me as I share them with you!

I LOVE those pictures! Apple picking is my fall dream, and I haven’t achieved it yet. You guys are so beautiful. And I also can’t decide which I love more – lemon curd or clotted cream. Wish I was there with you again! Love you!

These are such heart warming pictures and I know that your hearts were warmed in being together! I had an apple from a local fruit stand and couldn’t believe how different it tasted from supermarkets. So glad for you all that it worked out in all ways. momh

Gosh you girls sure must have dominant genes because those girls look like the spitting image of your boys, they could be siblings.
Happy for you, you had such a lovely weekend!

Your little fellows are getting so tall! I love the way they have your blonde coloring and their dad’s eyes–a great (and extremely photogenic) combo.
Looks like you had a wonderful weekend with your family. I for one love to see these glimpses into your life. After all, it’s not “House Stories A to Z,” is it? 🙂

Lovely photos of a lovely weekend, Beth. Thanks for sharing them 🙂 Looks like the new camera is working out nicely… How are you liking it? I’m trying to improve my photography skills with my (nice but limited) point & shoot, but I’m still dreaming of the day when I’ll make the leap to DSLR! *sigh* Someday!
