In my last post, I asked for your tried and true weight loss and exercise tips and WOW did you ever deliver! Hands down, the number one recommended programs were Weight Watchers combined with Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD. However, there were so many fantastic tips that I thought I would consolidate the information for you here. Enjoy! And thank you to everyone who shared how they are staying healthy and combating “blogger butt” in 2011!
Cardio
Healthy Eating {Diets}
Weight Loss Support Sites {Calorie Counters}
Some additional exercise and lifestyle tips that many of you emphasized:
- Make a plan and set rules and goals for yourself.
- Gain support online or from a friend for accountability.
- Use an online calorie tracker and keep track of what you’re eating.
- Drink a ton of water everyday.
- Weight train at least a few days a week to boost metabolism.
- Avoid/limit sugar and sneaky forms of it (carbs).
- No food after 7pm.
- Don’t deprive yourself. Sweets and splurges in moderation.
Thanks again to everyone who was so encouraging and helpful to me as I venture to drop these unwanted 20lbs. I plan on implementing many of your suggestions and have been doing great in eating healthy since Friday. I will most definitely keep you updated on my progress. (And may just shock and awe you all with another bikini pic in the end! I like to stir things up. 😉

Ummm…number one up there? Yeah. She's the reason I had to get up off the couch like a 90-year-old this evening. 🙂 You rock for putting these all together! And I feel you girl!! I do!

Stacey,
I don't believe in New Year's Resolutions either. I believe in goals. Focus on the positive. I have the Jilliam Michael's 30 day Shred and love it. I notice a difference when I do it 3 days a week. I also run which helps a lot. I am training for a half marathon this year, one of my goals. Check out my blog to see my progess.

I must have missed your post asking for advice. Too bad, this is my area of expertise! But I would have recommended BodyRock.TV also. To look like her is my dream. Good luck with your progress!

The 30-Day Shred is great! I'm not a big fan of Jillian Michaels, but these are good routines.

OMG, the 30 Day Shred will kick your butt. I swear Jillian was out to kill me. I was in pretty good shape after just 2 weeks of doing it. Sadly, we went on our cruise and then I got really sick so I fell off the wagon. Now I'm pregnant and can't do it, but as soon as I'm up and about after he's born, I'm going back on it. And I'll probably curse her every day.
