We are officially in the fall season! Let me show you festive ways to decorate your porch using traditional and non-traditional colors.
It’s no secret that I love decorating my porch for the seasons. It’s so much fun to change things up each season and be greeted at the door with something fresh and beautiful. Over the years, I have used both traditional and non-traditional colors in my fall decor. I do tend to gravitate towards non-traditional colors; however, you can never go wrong decorating with the traditional hues of fall! Let’s browse through the many different fall porches I have created over the years. Click the blue/gray links to go to the original post containing more pictures, tutorials, and fall decorating tips. You can find ALL of my fall posts here.
1. Urban Farmhouse Fall Porch in Blues and Neutrals
I loved the color palette for this porch! The muted pastels of blue, peach, and green worked beautifully with my blue door. My top question for years and years on the blog was about the paint colors in our row house. You can find all of the paint colors listed here. I still love this door, and this paint color. 2. How to Create a Beautiful Fall Porch
One of my favorite fall porch decorating tricks is to paint both faux and real pumpkins to match my chosen color pallette. I painted orange pumpkins shades of white to match my neutral fall decor. You can find a tutorial on How to Paint Pumpkins here. It is becoming increasingly more popular to find non-traditional shades of faux and real pumpkins, but painting pumpkins is a thrifty way to add seasonal decor to your porch.
3. Yellow and Green Fall Porch Decor Ideas
The pups greeted our friends this year with our yellow and green fall decor surrounding them. So cute! You can find a tutorial for how to make the chalkboard wood slice wreath here.
4. Black and White Fall Porch Decor Ideas
A classically beautiful black and white themed porch always looks clean and pulled together. Black and white can be paired with traditional orange for a classy Halloween look. I decided to stick with neutral tones and went with white mums and pumpkins. Natural grasses are a great alternative to corn stalks and can often be found on sale this time of year. They add texture without adding too much bulk to your design.
5. Plum and Red Fall Porch Decor Ideas
For this fall porch, I used bi-color mums in shades of plum and red. Have you seen this festive trend? It is still fairly new in the flower world, but it is becoming more popular each year. I used neutral color pumpkins and candles and let the flowers be the star of the show.
6. Traditional Shades of Fall Porch Decor Ideas
If you love traditional shades of oranges, greens, and yellows, this porch is for you! Piles of fresh and faux pumpkins mixed together create a lush and festive fall greeting.
7. Traditional Fall Porch Decor
Let’s throw it way back to my earliest days of blogging for this traditional fall porch decor. Isn’t it fun to see how styles change over the years? I still love using corn stalks in fall decor!
Stay tuned for the reveal of this year’s fall porch later this week! I think you’ll like it. I hope you found some great ideas for your fall porch this season!
